Known as a lorry.
No known as uprated pick up truck. There's a Dodge Ram often seen at Cambridge sales with a fifth wheel tri-axle trailer , I can't remember what the guy said was max weight it could haul but went away with a ford county and I think it was a 5000 on, VOSA were at the gate checking vechiles but never stopped him. I trust they thought he was legal.

They are over 7.5 ton
If we've got our pedantic trousers on, they're 'medium vehicles' on a C1 license. That's for 3.5 to 7.5 tonne vehicles. Over 7.5T is a C license or with trailer (to include artic) C+E.

HGV is no longer official terminology.

Still need an O-license, too.

With a fifth wheel, to get the trailer and bed capacity combined. If that's a train weight of of over seven tonnes, you need your heavy goods and an operator's license.

What I'm getting at they should be able to pull a bit more than 3500 kg, up to 7500 kg gross weight would seem logical
