Hey everyone, I am new to the community, looking to learn from all of you!
I have recently took up interest in building, operating some turkey houses. I haven't been able to find a ton of useful information out there for the things i am most curious about.
1. What does it cost to build a turkey house these days? anything in cost per sq.ft. and dimensions would be appreciated.
2. Can i expect to make a living wage doing this?
3. Should i make it a clay floor barn or concrete? Benefits/ Pros/ Cons of each?
4. favorite way to manage the litter between flocks? Housekeeper/ Windrow... Pros/Cons?
5. When it comes to litter, I have heard something like 45-35-40. do you price litter at commercial fertilizer rates? does that include trucking? Hauling? applying in field per ton?
