Compacting a silage clamp with a 360.

Morning we' re needing a workshop project to keep our hands warm during the winter so the next problem we're making ourselves is that we're looking to improve our silage clamp compaction next "summer". Without tying up yet another tractor and operator and thinking of utilising our 14 tonner, to track in and compact the pit. Has anyone had any experience of this method and how did it work out for you ? Before we go and fabricate an attachment and its of no use to us.

Wasting your time as if it will make less mess than a foot step on swampy wet ground how's it ever going to compact a fluffy silage clamp?

My uncle packs the pit with a 13 tonner it seems to work well.they do it after all the grass is in the pit

U need some pretty big balls to do that!

We tried a drott years ago - useless - cant beat wheels - smaller footprint better

Make a bale squeeze for your 360 instead. Always thought that would be a good idea

Would be worried putting a 14 tonnes on the clamp, are the sides strong enough?
