Comparing Buying Groups

I saw today that the AF Group are giving their members a personal "Price Analysis" on crop protection products. I guess this is to prove they buy at the best prices. But do they? Possibly not according to the feedback I have had from farmers so far who are very happy with how their buying groups stack up against others.

Later this year Farm Compare on TFF will allow you to specifically compare your buying group against others in the same region. You will note you were asked when you first added prices, which buying group you used. This information will finally become useful. Based on the prices you paid, Farm Compare will tell you which buying group had the best prices.

Unfortunately, this isn't the end of the story, as most buying groups also give you a rebate. But we will add further functionality for you to add your rebate and then we will also compare those between buying groups. Also crop protection isn't everything, fert and seed spend are also very important factors for you to consider.

If you really want to know how well your buying group is doing, then use Farm Compare for free.

Thank you to the TFF members that DM'ed me about these features and that you would find them a useful addition. Please do keep the recommendations coming, we are in the process of an upgrade and always aim to add functionality where we can.
