Best thing you can do with towers a couple of times a year.... do no harm.Annoying noisy fans and dust. Took my PC to the workshop, removed some parts and gave it a good blast with the airline, clouds of dust later and all is quiet..............

I believe the way the "experts" do it is to remove all batteries, sources of power, etc. and use a power washer. Electronic components will be shorted if damp so they make absolutely sure everything is bone dry before switching back on.
I do occasionally wash keyboards in the kitchen sink and dry them by suspending over the wood burner but haven't had the nerve to power wash a computer yet!
And where does that wisdom come from?
Sure. You can all sorts of hideous disco lit liquid filled CPU cooler setups with translucent side panels for your tower case if you’re a gaming nerd and that sort of stuff tickles your fancy...Wasn't there a PC that was quite literally water cooled... I suspect it was probably only the CPU, but it sounds funky!!
