ridiculous price since whole oats are £90 a tonne!
Why?

Other people and companys expect to make a decent profit on their work and what they produce.
Most of uk agricultural output is under downward price pressure due to supply exceeding demand which makes the cost of all inputs seem ridiculous. If you can't justify the reasonable cost of an input. Don't buy it. It really is that simple.

One guess at which part of the agricultural produce supply chain I think is ridiculous.

£219 18% ewe rolls
And I think around £256 25kg bagged lamb creep
unless you put tickets/specs up this price comparison job is pointless
Took a pic but forgot to put up.

To be quite honest I wouldn't know what I should be looking at. What's wrong with it or what's lacking?

Feeds I don't like:
Palm Kernel, Soya Hulls, Wheatfeed, Sunflower.
Feeds I like:
Barley, Beet Pulp, Molasses and minerals

Questions that need asked:
Why is there a fat blend in there? (Probably because either a) it helps margin or b) the other ingredients are a bit crap and the energy level is low)
Why is rapemeal the protein source when it has low levels of bypass protein (the protein you want for pregnant ewes)?

Would actually go for dark grains if not feeding any sheep and feed 25% more per mix to get the same result. Would cost £180ish per tonne bulk so with the 25% uplift, it'll be equivalent to £225 to replace the rapemeal

Id probably be looking for something in a tote bag, I won't use enough for a bulk load. are dark grains pelleted?
