No, full load payed by direct debit, 14 days after delivery, supposedly that’s the best price you can get.

I understand that prices can and do move but an increase of 50 quid a ton surely warrants someone giving a bit of notification. I’ve had plenty on today and haven’t been in the mood to query it but I hope it’s an error in their billing or they won’t be getting another order,,,,,,,,,,it’s probably time to start shopping around for prices again anyway.

Iv started a open email with exact spec of cake we want, including raw materials, and our payment terms and then in the email address bit list all the diffrent reps from firms we would happily trade with, its great they all know they are competing and what for, non of my time wasted drinking tea with reps. had 5 fixed prices within 24 hours, went secound cheepest as always good drivers

What’s happening with dairy feed prices?
Just had a bill for latest load of dairy nuts at £290 ton, never seen such a huge increase before, is this correct or have they made a cock up on my bill?
I’m hoping it’s the latter.
Dad was chatting to one of the Cheshire mills at Nantwich Show and was told that prices would have to be going up by £20-30 across the board before back end.

Has anyone fixed in for a straights over winter yet? Think new season sugar beet price will be scary reading when they release it. Got through 90ton last year. Whished I'd bought another load as about to run out and looks like will have to move onto soya hulls till I can get new season.

Quoted £210 for maize gluten and £245 for wheat distillers for October delivery, was told sugar beet would likely be over £200 for new season

Sugar beet is such good feed, but last year was the first in a while it hasn’t been over priced. There is nothing to replace it, soya hulls are only a substitute, not a replacement.

I was always told oats were as close a replacement for beet pulp as you could get.
I’ve heard this, think it’s related to the high chaff to starch ratio, keeping fibre levels up. But SB has energy as sugar not starch? I know if I use it I get virtually no rumen or feet problems on ad lib cereal fed cattle.

I don’t know the ins and outs but from what my feed rep says you could replace the sbp directly with oats with no ill effects.
