best price from 3 or 4 suppliers....

It was about 215-220 when new season prices came out I september. Allocations were only about50% of last years tonage and sold out in about 16 hours. I managed to get two loads. First arrived last week. Driver said they are normally doing 2/3 loads a week into storage, but this year it is all just going straight out to farms. Price is going nowhere but up I’m afraid.

You don’t want to know [emoji853]. I was quoted £196/tonne delivered for decent bushel weight for an artic tipped on Monday. Up £50/tonne in four months
Sounds like your paying for full spec milling oats. We are selling feed oats out at 150. Go lower on the bushel weight and you will save a lot. The feed value is rarely different.

The trouble is the factories have lowered their milling specs because of the shortage. Anything much over 50 bushel is mulling price and anything else is only £10-15/tonne less and ends up being about 40 bushel. There is not the feed value for cattle in those. My June load was £145/tonne and 57 bushel, £30 less than barley. Now £20 dearer. I’m out

40 bushel stuff round here is 140. I don't think the feed value is much different from the 50 bushel stuff. Oats are certainly a waste of time on cattle at 190.
