I'm lambing later next year and buying more sheep that lamb off silage alone and grass when it comes. Can't see the feed price dropping before the end of the year.

Luckily we have arable too so you can't have it all ways, but every part of the farm needs to justify itself.

That's pretty much the case up here anyway, I am going from Feb to March so still beat the glut hopefully. There will still be plenty folk who like the big prices and their name in the paper by lambing early and pretending their costs are minimal
 
Ran out of home blend yesterday, so collected some Lamb finisher blend from CCF today in tote bags @ £359/t
