Really? As as I've ever been able to tell they use the same gauge of steel, the same end caps, the same pumps and valves, a slightly different architecture and different paint.HiSpec will far outlast a Conor. Only slightly more money and much better build quality.

SO, anyone running a Conor slurry tanker?
Good & bad points would be useful.
What options are essential and what are a waste of time/money?
I thank you
@Cowabunga didnt your hi-spec come with alliance?
These were standard fit on our 2500 (800/63r32) whereas the equivalent Conor came as standard with some dodgy cheap brand.
Yes, you really should insist on the bell valves which are relatively trouble free. Having said that, I did have to have a new ram and paddle for one a couple of weeks ago, but they never clog-up at the top with fibre like the slice type.I've got a Conor 2750. First one I've bought, went for autofill, hydraulic vac pump, BKTs. Goes nicely, but the rear hydraulic slide valve is a bit rubbish like the duck says. Too prone not to seal well.

I'd forgotten that. Poor old George. Lovely chap, always keen for a 'deal' especially if up against another make! Had many chats with him at shows.Abbey tankers sell reasonably well around here too. Abbey and Conor have taken a slice out of the HiSpec share since their gold-chained rep died, poor chap. George something, his name was. Used to sell shedloads to Riverlea at one time.
What way does it not seal well?I've got a Conor 2750. First one I've bought, went for autofill, hydraulic vac pump, BKTs. Goes nicely, but the rear hydraulic slide valve is a bit rubbish like the duck says. Too prone not to seal well.
