Contiguous Tb Test

We’ve been notified of a tb breakdown in the area which means which have to have a contiguous test as we are near neighbours. I have temporarily mislaid the letter, and was just wondering if we can still continue buying cattle in the meantime until the test is carried out in a few weeks time. In England btw. Thanks

I think you can as you are not under any form of restriction. Just cannot buy in once test has started.
I’ve never had a contiguous test so don’t know if the rules are any different but for an ordinary test surely you are free to buy right up until the point a reactor or inconclusive is found as it’s only then that I’ve ever had any official notification that my herd is under restrictions.

Unless of course Tb rules are different in different parts of the country
