Continuous Flow Dryer Settings for Beans.

I'm familiar with the settings I need to take anything from 1% to 5% out of Wheat, Barley or Osr. Both quickly or slowly. But don't know what to go for when drying Beans, as I have never put them through before. Can anyone give me some comparative figures? Some guidelines? Obviously it's cracking them that I am mainly concerned about.

I’ve dried thousands of tons of beans and peas in the past for dalgety with an Alvan blanch contious flow drier.as they where mostly intended for animal feed we would put 180/200 degrees heat through them and crack them and let them out wet,above 15/16% and the seeds woukd still be warm and continue to dry.was a bit of suck it and see to start with but easy enough when all figured out.for seed you need a much lower temp under a 100degrees and depending on the original moisture content you may well have to put them through 2 or 3 times.I’ve dried beens at well over 30% and when taking 15/16 % moisture out the weight woukd drastically drop from the amount that came in to the amount that left and that caused issues with some people who thought we we stealing their crop and could not see where the weight went.this was all back in the 80/90s.

Dried beans through a Svegma last year. Found it easier to batch dry them, sending them around fast a couple of times, as trying to do it on continuous flow they just overheated. Didn’t take long once I sussed it out.
