Any thoughts on contract pig finishing on slats? Or calf rearing to 12 weeks.
Is anyone doing it?
What sort of profit can be expected if done right?
Apologies if I'm a dose!!!

Why to 12 weeks? Do you think that is where the most profit is? Why not take them up to 600kg, slaughter them, and sell the meat in boxes?

The intention is to suit the veal / 13 month bb system where the calf rearer brings to 12 weeks or so to a weight of 120kgs.

Do u think there is a market for boxed beef?
