Control Box for Parmiter Post Driver

If you could give me a link to some suitable resistors to put in line with the control relays I would appreciate it though.;)

What are they for I wonder?
Diodes sometimes places across the relay coils to protect the micro switch controlling the relay.

Should probably go PM with this, but for benefit of anyone interested, Hypro did say originally that the 12v 30w solenoids would be fine just switched on/off even with a thumb switch...
You might think some firm of current limitation was sensible in the system, though I suppose ultimately it goes back to the fuse in input supply.

Yes that is the thing but with about 8 valves.
No electrics for us old peasant farmers as we are still using a dog and a stick!
we really need a picture of the spool block to know more frank.
were shootin in the dark without it.

its possible its like the older kontac version where its built up in slices but who knows.
you sure its not the lever linkages on whatever kind of spools it is that have got tight?.

I think this machine is the same as one I have borrowed locally; 2 independ hydraulic legs, boom telescope in out, boom crowd, boom left right, etc. Indeed about 8 services.
It is a big old valve bank but does sit neatly and conveniently to hand on the machine.

Yes this is exactly the machine. All manual levers and the up and down lever for the weight gets a lot of use. Although all the others have got tired.

piece of cake to sort that.

is it 7?
if it is get the like s of one of these or the 3/4 one for higher flow and cooler running but bit more expensive
https://www.flowfitonline.com/hydra...pool-3-position-spring-return-monoblock-valve

then plumb in one of these on the end aeparate
bit s
(make sure its got the best or really good free flowing return to tractor) for the knocker weight
https://www.flowfitonline.com/hydra...-spring-return-lever-operated-monoblock-valve

might need a few new pipes as well …;)

p.s. other suppliers are available (y)

That is the one, but in much better condition than mine!!
going by the picture Matt put up its built up single slices similar to the kontak version.

is the levers stiff or is there a wee bit of play?, im guessing the levers themselves have got tight leaving the whole thing tight, its not uncommon for the spool itself to get tight but id blame the lever first, start with the easy fix first.
pull off the boot, it ill be gone hard by now but when you have it off/pulled back you will be able to see more and if it is indeed the linkage that's seized up but maybe your heart is set on a digger and knocker at this stage.

If you are putting in two valves in tandem, the first valve will have to have a high pressure carry over plug fitted, and tee together the two return ports. You cant just plumb the return port of one into the inlet of another.

Extra valve in the photo is for operating the weight, which was previously worked from the tractor spool.

I wouldn't go mad, just pipe the hammer to another slice and tighten up the linkages on the "tired" spools, especially if they are still dry?

Edit:
Pull the black boots off to show the wearing parts ......
