Iv had one of them for 15 years now, its fine as it sits in the right hand doorway in a jd cab or just fits down the side of the seat in a Jcb loadall.

I make up a 500ml water bottle with juice the night before and stick it in the freezer, next morning it goes in the box, by lunchtime its thawed, but its still ice cold and its kept the box cold. I don't carry a flask on top but a litre juice bottle. If I can be bothered with it if its really hot I half fill it with juice and freeze it the night before then top it up in the morning, cold juice all day then!

Best thing about this box is you can take it into the house and wash it in the sink, the fridges that I had before used to get Manky with dust etc.

I use the flask for coffee - it's the only one I've ever used that can keep a drink hot all day!!

I have just got a fridge from argo, only used it once so far but seems to keep things cold. Also have a Stanley lunch box/ flask combo as well. Wired mine into 3 pin power socket, along with a 3 gang 12v socket so doesn't burn out the standard lighter socket.

I've got an 18litre [I think] trucker's Waeco toolbox/hotbox thing in the car. It gets a lot of use and ensures that cold or frozen stuff stays at about the temperature it is put in. Same for hot stuff like the harvest fish and chip supper. It doesn't seem to be much good at reducing the temperature of, say, a warm can of pop though. It might do so given enough time, but I haven't noticed it.
Ice cream stays ice cream inside, that's the important thing. The only things to be aware of is to make sure that it is connected and that the fan is turning, and that the switch is the correct way for either heating or cooling as appropriate.

It is held fast in the boot by a bungee cord that goes through the handles at either end and over the lid. Easy enough on most cars these days because they have tie-down loops in the boot as well as at least one electric connection point.

Make sure you secure them, a tipper lorry driver had one in the passenger foot well of his truck up here, full of bottles of juice, he was tipping a load on soft ground and the truck went over, the fridge brained him, killed him instantly as it was fairly heavy.

My 12v power cable met an untimely end and need a new one, can't seem to find one on Amazon? Anyone have an idea where to get one online?
