Were there mass extinctions in the 1920's and the 1960's when the pH dropped to 7.75 ?
that was your chart not mine, so why would I know if it’s data was accurate or not?

The uk govs report shows that in the conclusions, that what they say will have an effect by 2045.

ph is not an even effect when looking at ocean scales this shows it more clearly.

Well what a surprise!
Nothing has changed, no big plan, humans will keep consuming the planets resources and polluting their environment.
Only when the calamities get so enormous that they can't be ignored will action be taken.
It'll be too late by then of course and many millions will suffer.
These will be the poor as always.
The wealthy will be fine as they control everything they need to survive.
Am I being too cynical?

Well there we are.

COP26 finishes with the President, Alok Sharma, in tears because of China and India changing the wording of the Glasgow Climate Pact on coal from “phase out” to “phase down“…. Or in other words, carry on boys

Greta …. Head East

If you set out to combine a field one day, and by the end of the day you have only cut half of it…..have you failed?

Sometimes we may not achieve what we want to. Yet it is important to recognise what we have achieved.
We can still achieve more as long as we are prepared to keep trying. If we regard it as a failure, we risk giving up entirely and being too demotivated to finish cutting the field…..which at the end of the day is the objective.

If you come to cut the other half of your field and it is a burnt out wasteland ...you've failed

We cannot see the future to know.

What I can be sure of in the present, half the field has been cut. In my book that’s one step forward from where I was before I started.

Whatever tomorrow brings, I have at least achieved that, and that is an achievement over not having started cutting the field.

Its NOAA data so you should find it on the WOD , if you want to draw your own graph.

Unfair to blame Glasgow too much. We had a defining moment in all of this in the 80's when the concept of sustainable development was first defined; meeting the needs of this generation without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs. We have consumed more of the Earths resources since the 80's than we did before the 80's. All we seem to be able to do is ban plastic straws and take the p!ss out of anyone who tries harder. Overwhelming emotion has to be sadness really.

Was birth control discussed at COP26.
“Families across the should have no more than 2children”. Surely that would help a bit .
As humans, yes us ,are the problem,so less humans less of a problem??
