The time is nearly here when the "great and good" will gather in Glasgow to thrash out ways to combat Global Warming.

Our Dear Leader is in charge and we know he likes to project Britain as "World Beating".
Therefore I am expecting a grandstanding announcement from him.

What do you think it will be?

Story about the other day, They have a fleet of leccy Jaguers to taxi the great & good from Gleneagles to Glasgow.
The power supply at Gleneagles has not enough spare capacity to charge the Jags

So a fleet of diesel gennys has been hired in.

Just sums up what a load of rubbish the job is,
& don`t get me going on airlines buying farms to plant trees on so they can claim to be carbon neutral. Seems almost fraudulent to me.
As for what Boris will say, just the usual jumble of soundbites that have little relevance to the real world

He’ll perhaps use the event to sell a couple of those holiday masterpieces he’s been busy painting.

There will be a lot about what great things will be done tomorrow. Every man and his dog will be carbon negative in 20 years. 80 billion trees planted by 2035. Electric cars that take 30 tons of C02 to produce but are somehow 'zero emissions' etc.

But for the time being... keep flying, buying useless consumer tat nobody needs and importing goods produced in environmentally destructive ways that would be illegal here.
