Coro stress

Phew.
I’m pleased to see all that military physiology training has t gone to waste :)
Infantry training - when I was in at least - made no mention of physiology, I guess that the medics and PTIs got some though. Occasional mention was made of psychology; 'dominating' the battlefield, the effects of fear on oneself and the enemy, things such as that.

Feeling any more 'normal' today?

Having a better day. It’s a challenge to keep calm.
I wonder how others would react. We have a chap around at the other farm, i left my truck in that yard while I was spraying. He just used it (without asking) to come to our home farm for something...
I’ve also noticed he still has friends around...

Now I know this thing is affecting me a bit. I try and keep as calm as possible and make light of it in here to some extent.
This morning I had a bit of a shock. Like always, woke up and just pondered the plan for the day. I couldn’t actually think what I was supposed to be doing today! So, I think, what did I do yesterday? That might help. Bugger me, I couldn’t remember what I did yesterday!!!! And I wasn’t like yesterday was a run of the mill day, had very specific activities.
Then (ok spelling has never been my strongest point) just now I wanted to wright on a thread about those things wizzing around in orbit and just couldn’t get close to spelling it:-(
Not even close enough for the phone to pick up and run with.

Dont actually feel that stressed but something is going amiss :-(
Blimey, bet you couldn’t pedal your MK11 escort around then (if you still have it). Best leave that for when your memory returns!

Glad to read that, if you feel like reading, take a quint at the meditation of Marcus Aurelius - one of the first writers about stoicism; or read some Flashman for a laugh. (y) :)

That chap would clearly seem to be a total f^ckwit with absolutely no common sense, nor consideration for others... :banghead: Is he the sort of fellow you'll want to keep on?

As can be seen on here, some folk just don’t take the fact that we are in the midst of a world wide pandemic as relevant to them!
Myself and mrs cz take it very seriously so, we are somewhat at odds...

There was someone interviewed on tv yesterday who said “ I don’t think I’m the type of person who is likely to get it “. I was totally flabbergasted that someone could even think that.

Two things are doing my head in.

1: The remote monitoring systems we have on our kit at work that are waking me up at all times of night to tell me somethings gone wrong, 'cept when I drive in to have a look nothing is out of the ordinary. That means the same corovirus related hassle every time I have to go in - wiping down the door handles and keypads with alcohol wipes. We have a lot of doors and access keypads.
2: A particular engineering technician whose in danger of being beaten to within an inch of his life by his colleagues for constantly b!tching about having to be at work whilst admin and the design engineers are working from home. We're currently manufacturing parts for medical Oxy regulators, and the idiot just can't see why they're important.

I think point 1 is just a case of it being the way of things, tough sh!t, and it goes with the job.

But your point 2... yep, he'd make my blood boil. The egocentricity of some is staggering; it's a national effort, but it's not just in the 'national' interest, it's in the personal interest of every one of us - how can he not realise that it could be his mother, his wife, his child, or even him that could well soon be in need of what he's helping to make? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Yup, it’s tough sh!t. Annoying tough sh!t as some arse keeps on lifting the alcohol wipes. Normally takes five mins from car to production floor, currently taking four times that. When I’m your dealing with that three times a night it start to get a bit wearing.

As to the engineering tech, everyone has said to him pretty much the same as you’ve said. It just doesn’t sink in.
