Corteva Agriscience to help dairy farmers "Farm More Forage"

Corteva Agriscience to help dairy farmers âFarm More Forageâ

Corteva Agriscience is today (Wednesday 5 February) launching its FarmMoreForage initiative at Dairy-Tech 2020 at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

Using home-grown forage is the easiest way for dairy farmers to become more sustainable and resilient in ever-challenging times.

By sowing the latest forage varieties, maximising grass yield potential by removing problem weeds and enhancing silage with good quality inoculants, dairy farmers can reduce the cost of buying in feed and increase productivity, without needing to take on more land.

Grass and forage crop agronomy is receiving increased focus as dairy farmers seek to optimise their output, says Robin Bentley, Corteva Agriscience Category Manager for Grass and Maize. We can help them make this effort more successful.

We have an excellent track-record on innovation last year we introduced the UKs first early maturing dent hybrid maize P7034, and before that introduced Rapid React silage inoculant technology, which can produce high quality silage in just seven days.

Mr. Bentley continues: We are investing in breeding and assessing and marketing maize hybrids suited to the UKs maritime climate. We also expect to introduce two brand new active ingredients to our grassland herbicide range in the next two years.

We are also expanding our team of forage specialists and increasing our investment in technical support to help advisors, contractors and farmers to grow more and better quality forage.
