We gotta tax and MOT ours but, was a lot cheaper to buy than a noddy buggy,

is more reliable than a noddy buggy,

has a working heater and leccy windows unlike a noddy buggy

Jimny will also be there in the morning whereas the noddy buggy unless it’s guarded by an SAS detachment will have been nicked.

How much cheaper? How much was your Jimny?

Petrol?

Think they just fell to bits. He bought 1 and while it was broke down they sent another out and it fell to bits then they sent another and it broke down then he sent all 3 back and got his old gator back.

Shame that. They look a well thought out design, no good if the build/reliability doesn't back it up though

Petrol big no here.

Would buy two utvs in a few years for petrol cost.

Have you had a Corvus?
Still gotta buy cherry for a noddy buggy and jimny doing high 20s to the gallon and on 3-4000 miles a year it’s no biggy imo. And as said I can leave it outside the house knowing it’s unlikely to be nicked

We have a Corvus here on demo at the moment, seems ok to be fair.
I was dead against any of the buggy type vehicles, but am now of an age where the quad and getting soaked every day is no fun.
We have an old kioti as in 11 years old , it hasn’t got stuck yet on our place which is very wet and proved invaluable during last weeks snow and storms getting molasses out to the sheep and little bales out
The Corvus is a lot bigger, more plush and much quicker
Both are able to be filled from the farm tank
I’ve had a hilux Stuck on our away ground and come close with the defender so I don’t think a jimmny would cut it , but it’s horses for courses
Hope this helps

Just to add, we did demo a Honda pioneer (520) I found it a fantastic bit of kit , nippy stable ( we farm very steep ground) comfortable.
But the lack of a cab was a big no no , may as well have a quad
It was quite noisy as well , plus the rear load bed was very small
The kioti cost me £3500 on eBay , I’ve fitted bushes and prop shaft uj’s and to be fair I like it as a machine
The Corvus is from the same dealership who let us demo the Honda , it has a huge bed as in pallet size lots of storage in the cab … and in the spec we are trying a huge price tag
As in £19,000 plus vat
Really eye watering, however a few farms around us have moved on to buggies and they say , if your using it everyday for a few hours then it’s justified, that remains to be seen !

£19k including or pre vat? Similar money to some of the other machines if you don’t spec heaters etc…

It’s £18999 plus the vat
That’s for the fully cabbed with heater model
I was quoted 18k for a Polaris diesel with cab etc
Mrs has just gone out in the Corvus to see how she gets on with it, one reason for us going with a buggy is her turning the quad over and being pinned down
Fortunately in a field next to the barn where I was

I think a Jimmny will go places a defender wont, especially on wide tyres.

Very possibly, but I know it won’t get far on our farm, I did look long and hard at jimmny’s
And they do have there place that’s for sure.
What sealed it for me was the red diesel which is here on farm and the internet searching, whereby on a jimmny forum the members told a farmer ( not me) that for what he wanted the utv would work better
It’s horses for courses and the buggy suits our situation at the moment

Polaris v Corvus is a no brainer especially if the Polaris is cheaper! Dealers can’t get them in quick enough up here, taking a lot of gators in. The first one is the most painful to buy, it’s not too bad after that.

A mate has a Polaris petrol buggy, he was amazed our old kioti was much bigger in the load bed and with the kioti having a steel load bed
The Corvus has a pallet sized steel bed , it only here on demo and after two days it has it’s good points and also some niggles , one really annoying thing is the small steering wheel which blocks the view of the speedometer, another the lcd display is so bright it’s distracting at night
All I can say is try a few different makes as it’s a lot of money to have regrets
Positive things with the Corvus …
The cab and doors are very good , especially after the perspex doors on our kioti ( and on a neighbour s Kawasaki)
It’s not got stuck yet ! Despite deliberate attempts to climb steep wet banks in 2 wheel drive and crossing boggy rush filled moor , in 4x4 ,
The load area is very good if a little high,
So in honesty I like the machine … will we buy one ?
I don’t know yet !
