Cost of an acre?

Summer grazing license would be £90 an acre, fenced and water provide

In terms of value to buy, how long is a piece of string?

£8k to £16k to buy
£100 to £200 to rent for the year.

Both as part of a larger lot.
If you want to buy just an acre with roadside access etc I'd be asking £20k minimum if I wanted to sell any.

I've a neighbour here wanting to buy a bit, I don't want to sell so price doesn't come into it.

I've other land away from home that's going for £10k for a house-side 1/10 acre to £30k for a roadside acre.
If it doesn't sell now, the price is still the same next year. No rush. Not North Yorkshire so don't ask.

Ahhhh that makes sense! Horse prices. Daft prices and dragging everything else up!
Sorry yes it's only a hobby. Like I said ideally sheep as it's something I would like to give a go. I say horse because we struggle for winter turnout and I may use the field if needed that's all.

But it's always the case when I ask around. No land near me on the market.

If you turn your horse out onto it in the winter it will be good for nothing for most of the following summer! This is why horsey people struggle to find fields to rent. Plus the bloody horses wreck fencing.
