Me and dogs £250/day.
I can bring my own handling system if required, but it's piece work. 50p/treatment/head.
So tagging and drenching is £1/hd.
I get lunch provided. If it's a few days work then I can accomodation and 3 meals a day. Pl

£1/hd to dose?
I did dectomax, Zolvix and hep p 1100 ewe lambs a day for 3 days last week for my main landlord and charged them £12 hour for 7 hour days. So only earn’t £84 day and not £1650!£1/hd to dose?

No. 50p per treatment per head. So 50p to dose. 50p to tag. That's if I bring my handling equipment and sufficient labour to get the job done in a day on piece rate.£1/hd to dose?

Did you provide all your necessary labour and equipment (pick up truck, dogs, handling system)?
That have there own permanent system. I just brought them in with my dogs and got the job done on my own.

So you’ve had to travel to site, then use your own dogs to gather and work single handed unsupervised injecting and dosing? I’m assuming your self employed? Do you have insurance?
Out of that £12/hr that your business earns, what do you pay yourself?
I would say 50p per head to dose is very expensive, £12/ hour no where near enough. If I was asked to go shepherding with good dogs I'd want at least £30/ hour

There is a massive difference between what someone charges and what someone gets paid .......
Edited to add - by that I mean, it’s fine to have a high price tag or to ‘want to ask’ x amount per hour. But it’s meaningless if you aren’t getting any work at that, assuming you want work.

For example I would love £30 an hour as well, but I reckon I’d get told to do one more than I got asked to work

That’s probably realistic to be honest. Some of these high prices are a bit like going to an art gallery and seeing paintings with £50,000 price tags ....... that don’t mean sh*t until you know if they ever sell any .......I charge £15hr for me and my dog and handling system, too cheap but if Iv nout on that’s what I’ll come for 💁♂
