Cost of steel

Just getting prices for I beams and C beams on a small building project. Only 500 kg of material, working out at £800/Tonne. Is this normal pricing?

500kg of 7x4 beam was £420ish when I priced from Parker steel just now. They'll drop a bit if prodded, so your not far out at £800 per ton

Thanks good suggestion, but builder needs them asap, and local supplier has most sizes we need.
