Ploughing 2 weeks ago was tricky , now it's a dust bowl . been a funny year and it's only April .Still too wet to travel here on half the farm and fields already ploughed are very wet underneath .

@stablegirl maize will be glad to be under film. Planting ours under film tuesday, be interesting to see if our warmer climate but a week later will allow it to catch up with yous up norfYes please, good chunk of overseeding done today. A couple damp days would be grand.

Oops. I know the feeling . Yesterday I was rolling a rock hard field ( hoping to bruise it into tillering a bit), when I suddenly went down in a spot that’s usually the driest part of the field. Folded the rollers up, diff lock on and just about crawled outMuch the same here. Ploughing first spuds and gave up as ground too hard.
Subsoiler now working to let the plough work.
Moved to plough to plough to another field for parsnips.
Then hit a wet spot......
