Anyone know rules on lockdown and cyclists ? there are loads of them around here at moment from local city 10 + miles away ,never ending stream down the road , i think france has a 1km limit , To be fair they are lone ones , and i have no problem with people getting exercise and turn blind eye to any locals , but some of this lot seem to be using the quiet roads as an excuse to get their times up ,

Whats the harm, honestly? People taking control of their own mental health cycling on their own. Chances of viral spread minute. The last thing we should be doing is shutting down cyclists and walkers. They've shut Pembs Coast path - the whole 186 miles of it - way ott. The low hanging fruit of viral spread is still open - the tube, buses, lots of offices etc.

And planes are still flying in with passengers from places like Spain/ Italy etc with no controls on what they can do for 14 days as soon as they step off the plane!

This is all going to end very badly if it goes on for much longer than 3 weeks and people end up locked in their houses for months on end, especially as its coming into spring/summer.

For all we are told the country is in ‘lockdown’, Guth is correct. This is the flight track of planes in the air over Europe right now:

They said your normal excise distance . But as long as they are lone cyclist what harm .
I know a lot of you hate cyclist but im a very polite try and be helpful kind of cyclist . And its saved my life im sure of that . I can no loger run as its to painful on my knees .

I don't think cyclists will be on the no1 hate list of people anymore, other groups will soon be at the top thou if they carry on like they have been the last few days.

absolutely agree if its one lesson we learn from this, is passenger air travel should immediately stop from infected countries , if your stuck there tough , im sure insurance companies could cover that , return maybe only by boat that should tick the quarantine box to a degree
