Our man in Lewis deserves every penny for his whisky. As much grass as barley, 1 ton per acre, looked like he was cutting it high then someone was following up with a mower. No GPS or fancy stuff on that combine and weather that makes climate change look like a blip

cant belive barley can be grown up there. me and mrs thorpe were up there couple of years ago visiting her sister who lives there , anybody who lives there must love torture never mind farm there.

Adams harvest piece was brilliant, a real sense of the true reality of being a modern farmer. Riding about organising everyone and watching harvest get done. The public must be in awe at the professionalism of farmers these days.

I'm beginning to wonder what I'm playing about at.
I only thought the piece about the rape and spray was good . To be honest if i was one of his workers I would have been embarrassed to have to appear on countryfile and be given a bottle of ale and a sarnie to say Thankyou for the hard work.
 
I really enjoyed the bit where they said that infrastructure and agriculture were infringing on the wood then later mentioned that there wood was right next to manchester and implied house building might also be to blame ... there seemed no need to suggest ag had anything to do with it?
