I wish he’d put his camera on some permanent pasture

This.
Countryfile have just educated the great British public on the need to sequester carbon.
The consensus on here - and scientific study - is that PP is better than anything, trees included.
PP only exists because it is grazed by cows and sheep. Save the planet, eat red meat. It's a simple enough message. Who is going to get Countryfile to cover the story ? It's an open goal.

178 cases of new variant CJD since 1990 up to 7th September this year and it should be taken into account that every case of degenerative brain disease will be subject to a post mortem.
Professor Richard Lacey died in 2019 so cannot be held to account for his predictions of thousands of deaths upon which the BSE controls were founded and nearly wrecked the UK beef industry.
30 years on and Scientists from Imperial College predicted 450000 deaths from COVID 19 in the UK and based on that prediction the whole UK economy is being wrecked.

With such a very low incidence of CJD it remains nothing more than a scientific curiosity and will never attract much funding or research effort. Most likely down to random chance and in all likelihood has been occurring at the same low rate in humans for a very long time but until modern times been unreported.

Having just sat through the whole of Countryfile which I haven't done for a long time, I am of the view that Mad Cow disease is in fact a lot more prevalent than they'll have you believe

Why not plant the trees on rough none ploughable land , we will need the good land to grow soya when they have got rid of all the cattle and sheep.
This is one of the many things that pees me off about this poxy tree crap, all the sh!t groung there is no good for owt they could plant on and they use prime dirt 😤😤😤
Once its screwed up with trees and wilderness it will never be got back or allowed to be reclaimed
