Why do you bother watching it?

We all know what it's like. If we all stopped watching it , farmers stopped dealing with anyone on the programme and didn't step up to be interviewed surely it would fail?

Aye continuing to watch it and complaining about it, is like stepping in dog muck every day at the same place and complaining about that,

Donā€™t think that would work..... from what I see itā€™s mostly for town dwelling folk & school children.......

Whilst agreeing it was a pleasure to see the words of mb indicates the malaise in the dairy industry where the price of milk is lower than 10yrs ago. I ADMIRE THE SONS GUTS in investing borrowed money in all the hi tech equipment but question has his return on capital improved or has the management load decreased.
Lower than 10 years ago, I have said it before on here, Iā€™ve had higher summer milk prices with the mmb than I had last summer, thatā€™s more than 25 years ago

I was young once and into tech, as Iā€™ve got older Iā€™ve become more cynical, Iā€™m not convinced it was worth it .
Money makes the world go round and someoneā€™s allways thinking of ways to persuade me to part with it, as I get older I become more convinced itā€™s best not to listen to them, make a bit less, spend a bit less but then, Iā€™m not a hamster on the tread wheel of debt

That's for him to worry about. Cunning plan to marry an accountant, though she talks so fast I couldn't make out half she said. šŸ˜€ . Good luck to them, Hope their bold investment takes them to where they want to be.

Hell of a farm! Really nice set up and looks idyllic on a program like countryfile.

Did it make me want to rush out and borrow a million to do some of the same? Not a chance. Iā€™m content knowing that if I wake up tomorrow and wanted to, I can sell the lot or most of it and be quite considerably well off. To some this shows lack of motivation and future planning but Iā€™ve heard our accountant and bank manager both say, the borrowing out there on farms is absolutely unreal. I donā€™t know how they can sleep at night.

Been a backlash at cows being housed and zero grazed.

I await with much anticipation the associated ā€œbacklashā€ against cats, budgies, hamsters, rats, snakes, gerbils, ferrets, mice, goldfish and dogs being housed and ā€œhaving their food brought to themā€. Honestly, I feel sick just thinking about it.

Hypocritical dipshits.
