Countryfile tonight

I’ve always said that. In fact whilst at school learning about the u-boats and Atlantic convoys I felt a right fool because it suddenly dawned on me they were sinking the boats carrying supplies when I thought they were fighting over the water itself, the sea and what was in it and under it.

The teacher joked about my daft thoughts, but later said I had a good point and that, who knows, that may just happen if water becomes scarce.

Nowt new; Israel has been fighting the Palestinians in the West Bank for decades by controlling the access to water, thereby making the lives of the Palestinians very difficult. I understand that Israel will only allow water access via means that they control (so it’s easy to use as a weapon), and routinely destroys non-licensed water sources. This includes devices (dams, tanks etc) used to harvest rainwater.
Fancy- a country being so aggressive in the neighbouring country. In this day and age 🙄.

I can't help but notice that there is no nationwide call for the UK to accept Palestinian refugees fleeing conflict? Why is this? It seems confusing given that it was the UK who had such a big hand in their destiny?

Watched it for the first time in weeks. There was knitting covers for bollards (why?) and the weather forecast which reported that the highest temperature recorded this month at Heathrow was two weeks earlier than the same temperature recorded at Heathrow ten years ago, a sure indication of global warming. This coming week will be colder than normal. Perhaps the bollards are feeling the cold ?
It just doesn't get any better.

Watched Countryfile start to finish for the first time ever without shouting at the tele tonight apart from the bit where they quoted CO2 emissions during the production of nitrogen fertilisers forgetting that CO2 is captured for the food industry.
Regenerative farming the focus and an almost balanced programme. Do the producers read this forum?
