So some have then ?

That you ask the question proves my point :)

Can't speak for all other women in farming, but I know there is a different experience. More often than not, it's barely there, but sometimes ...

The matter of childcare was the obvious one on the programme. Baby fast asleep in the sling on mummy's back. A quick mention of the fact the baby was asleep, and move on to cuddly goatlings.

What would have been said if the baby was fast asleep in the sling but on daddy's back?

I wondered why Minette Batters didn't get a mention, I am almost sure she is a woman in farming and quite well known ........ The NFU down here is quite well represented at all levels by the female gender , but that didn't fit the bias I suppose. Most family farms are partnerships for gods sake, ludicrous piece of tripe.
I would like to see that "wonderful" meadow flooding scheme after a really good rain, I suspect there will be a nice wee stream bed carved out in pretty much the original spot and a few tons of soil gone off visiting downstream.

Now you are “proper local” talking about splits. ??

what I never understood is where the boundary was between those that called them splits and those that called them tuffs.

Me neither, but there is one somewhere.

I can't understand the false boundary where jam on first changes to the wrong way, either. I went to a funeral tea last year where the caterers had put cream on first. Naive incomers, they thought that it was the same all across Devon, bless 'em.

Re: the beaver. If they really want to block a few waterways Why not just get a digger and dam the river or stream could do it authentically with a few sticks etc... then when the digger is finished the tree killing stop s.

Not quite do much for the visiting people / tourists to see I guess ....

But I just dont see why trees being chomped down is good for the environment and the NRA definatly didnt like you blocking the river. :scratchhead:

Its worked really well above Hebden bridge (NOT). Have woodland trust doing the same stupid stuff above Bolton. You would have thought they would have learnt from there mismanagement when the set Winter Hill on fire but obviously not. I have no problem with surge pools and have actually built one on our farm to stop flooding and they do work but thays not what there wanting to construct.
