Was I the only one to think that a lot of this is research for the sake of research?

The producers and presenters seem to love new fancy innovative technology because it sounds positive, trendy and cutting edge, but someone somewhere has to buy the machines and make them pay.

I'd be quite excited about it if it might ever become financially viable, and if I knew it wasn't likely to get legislated out of the ball park by the clipboards in this country. Sadly any financial gains achieved will bypass the farmers.

Everyone seems to love agricultural technology.....and then blames the farmer for destroying the environment. :(
it all came across very harpur!

Could somebody more cleverer than me please explain how that bravey colt foal will stay a colt if he doesn't pass the test for retention as a stallion, and goes on for riding?
I couldn't follow what Henson said at all :scratchhead:

A shooting friend is grounds manager at the National Memorial Arboretum, they filmed Countryfile there this week for Remembrance Day. He was disappointed when told it was going to be Anita Rani but they changed it to Ellie, he said she was lovely.

And bringing more and more bugs, pests and pathogens from foreign Countries with the demand for planting thus killing our own established trees ?????
I think every school should have a project that gets each kid out to collect a handfull of seeds from the area and plant them and look after them untill they are big enough to be planted out.

Saves importing them and the disease, great learning opportunity, etc
