Their own example shows the grant available for 40% of a £7500 standard cost, it then says if you are able to buy said item for £7000, they still pay the grant on 40% of standard cost, no need to get the dealer to do anything.40% OF Standard cost is the max they pay.
In theory, if you get quoted less than standard cost you want to make an agreement with the supplier to bill you more and discount something else from them.
But in reality it never happens like that. These Grant's just push prices up!
