Countryside Productivity Scheme – Small Capital Grants Launched

The long awaited and needed small capital grants scheme funded through the Countryside Productivity Grant Scheme is now available.

Launched 7th February – deadline for applications 14th March 2018.


Key points:

• All farmers can apply for this grant.
• Agricultural and horticultural contracting businesses are not eligible.
• Specific items are eligible. The fund will support Papa Pump systems under the category: hydraulic ram pumps item No SG53 in the scheme.
• Grants cover 40% of the equipment costs with a minimum grant of £3,000 up to maximum £12,000. Grants must be claimed within 150 days of the application being approved.

There is a single online application https://www.cpsmall.org.uk/. The simple form only takes 15 – 20 min to complete. You will require your CRN, SBI numbers and stock numbers plus details of the items you wish to apply for. Remember, the deadline is the 14th March 2018, do not delay with submitting your application. I've heard it mentioned by some of those employed to run these schemes that they are expecting something to come along later in the year regarding slurry storage but don't hold me to it.
