Doe’s were making 60-70k about 10 years ago, believe they’re back to around 50k now

For myself, a Doe would be far more interesting.
On a tangent, at our little show there always used to be (local I suppose) a four big equal wheeled Leyland which struck me quite unusual. Do they have any value?
Mind, the farmer I worked for had had one as his plough tractor when they were current and said it was crap🤷‍♂️

I see one just sold at auction, nicely reconditioned....

200K🤷‍♂️
I was estimating that it would sell for between £200k and £250k. Rather disappointed that it only just scraped in to the lower end of my expectation.
I would venture to suggest that it was a good place to invest spare cash. Suitable for an oligarch, except that they’ve mostly had their accounts clipped. A bit rich for your average Cardi or Yorkshire folk of course.

I still don't think it was sold though
The two bidders were in from the start, no one else came in, the underbidder looked like a Scottish laird full wool suit and trilby hat with his son? the winning bidder looked like he was an irish man, he also paid 40k for the 1164, maybe he was also the seller, who knows?

Buyers decide the value. Somebody was prepared to pay a big chunk for it. It makes no odds to us how much somebody else is willing to pay - it's his dosh, it's his choice.

It doesn't tickle my tractor-touching lusty bits, though. Give me a vajazzled Marshall 100 or MF 2725 any day!
I'm the same any of the 2000 series masseys do it for me an in 2wd even better

Aww id love a 2725. Theres a 1 owner 1 not far from me, doubt itl ever be sold

Didn't @REStracTORATION do the restoration on it ? Looks better than it left the factory. Better than money in the bank. Better than buying a house to rent out to numbskull tenants. I'd probably rather 10 x Ford TW 20's ( which it's based on ) instead though. :)
Yes we did that one in the sale
( far to cheap )
It was our 1st county so alot to learn hence not counting all the hours on the build

A huge amount of people will go out and spend 120k plus on a new 4x4 or more and happily lose money over fist.

The new buyer of the County might not give a damn about resale value, is every purchase you make dependent on what its worth in 5 years time?

We all earn money to spend it on what we want. Good luck to him. I'm just jealous I don't have 200k of disposable income

Ha ha I’m the same would quite like a 2000 series Massey but that price point vs what you get has already sailed for me no chance I would waste money on the values they ask now for heaps of junk
