I am sat here at this very minute waiting for some one who is coming to view it as its being sold, was hoping to buy it myself but wife and kids don't want the work associated with the number of cows we'd need to make it work, sad day, but nothing last's forever.
Any harm to ask what your plans are if you have to vacate ? Pity the family are not interested in giving it a shot . Buying land is a funny thing especially land you had rented for a long time . Dear the first day but getting cheaper every day after that and the feeling of finally owning it and the end of " dead money " rents well thats priceless.

I have an idea of what I hope to do, but would rather not say at this moment (I'll update this thread if I manage it) we are coming out of the farm in about 3 months, we'd 9 years left on the tenancy, but the thought of a new landlord who potentially may want vacant possession and the stress of potentially being bullied out has made me think I'm better going now.

If you have 9 years left on your tenancy, would they not have to pay a good bit to get you out for vacant possession? If another possibility presents itself, I’d certainly grab it while it’s there though.👍

Good luck, whichever way you go.

We are being compensated could be more though, not sure as I want to continue down this particular avenue in the future though, still got the same dreams, same fight, but there's no point anymore, I'm 59 family aren't interested its getting to be hard work.
