I have 7 legs in mine, they are lower disturbance though for osr establishment and we go back to 5 for normal leg, although the previous owner I believe used it as 7. I would think it will be fine as the legs will be closer and each one will ease ahead of the next leg more? You might find the required draft doesnt increase by the same amount as the increase in legs. Another thing we have done before we got plenty of power was to run them at different levels using the range of bolt holes in each leg, so we had legs 1,4,5 deep with 2and 3 shallower, this actually worked well and gave a split profile of depth. If we upgrade to a wider folding 7 leg machine which is the plan I will possibly do this again.

Thanks for the reply: what are the low disturbance legs that you're using? I have TWB leg bottoms on our machine, I'm thinking i'll cut the wings off to reduce lift as the plan is to use it for seeding osr?

The problem we had putting 7 legs in was the clearance between the last 2 legs and the roller. This was direct seeding OSR and in some conditions ie plenty of chopped straw we'd have problems with blockages. Solved the problem with longer arms on the roller and worked fine. The frame will certainly take it
