There's a saying, "you couldn't make this sh1t up", seems like you lot can after all.
It beats me how so many can come up with such ludicrous ideas and concepts. Get a grip ffs.

I guess the government has a fairly straight forward equation in front of it. You can get the elderly and those with chronic conditions into isolation and deal with the small number of people outside of their ranks in a hospital scenario as needed or you can face the real prospect of having to triage people when it comes to allocating the resources available.

I would not want to be in the CMO's shoes having to report to the public that we had to let X number of patients die simply because we didn't have the bed space.

Post in the comments section of Times online. Interesting - did the Chinamen arrange it after all!!

Impact of coronavirus on stock exchanges worldwide, within 1 month: ?? -26% ?? -26% ?? -25% ?? -27% ?? -20% ?? -19% ?? -16% ?? -24% ?? -14% ?? -17% ?? -12% ?? - 17% Now, look at this: ?? (China) + 0,3% China, creator of the pandemic, has miraculously "recovered", has almost no more cases of coronavirus. The world is now beginning to feel the effects and panic about the disease. Who recovered first ?? China itself! It seems to be that this virus was a move by the Chinese government in response to the loss of the trade war with the United States. The goal: to throw the world into recession !!! Is the scenario not clear? They are already growing! China bought almost everything it devalued on the stock exchanges around the world ... with that the Chinese became owners of the global companies that are in China and without the money leaving China. ☝? This is what it's all about.
Don't be so stupid.

Government to now pay 80% of wages for staff of businesses affected by the virus.

The third big intervention by the government. Hope they have done their sums! Seems v drastic just minutes after telling all pubs, cafes, cinemas, restaurants etc to shut doors.

What about the people who can still go to work for businesses (less) affected by the virus BUT aren't a "key worker" and have no child care? Will they be supported?

Government should be careful imo

Only 2000 tests of frontline hospital staff and still reports of lack of PPE.
No idea which staff are fit to return from isolation

They are testing ones that show symptoms, until the test for antibodies is available I'm not sure what the point of testing all nhs staff is if it only shows current infections
