Covid testing for harvest staff

Can you get your harvest staff tested for Covid before they come to your farm for the season ?

Anybody can be tested now but it only shows if they currently have the virus and even then it’s not 100%.

Presumably you could ask to see a recent Covid result sheet but unless you keep them locked in a cage when not working what’s stopping them picking it up at the local Tesco’s the week after they start?

Yes, testing is only relevant on the day of testing. Unless we are all tested all the time, tests produce data that may highlight an outbreak.

The voluntary isolation issue will be tough to get used to.

Good points . My harvest help stays in my house so it would be a good starting point to be tested .
