As usual the devil is in the detail, the PHE or whatever it's called now variant of concern pdf says basically any case of covid that could possibly, probably or highly probably be connected to a confirmed omicron case is being counted as an omicron case even though it might not be.
Dont know whether subsequent cases are also joined onto that original actual confirmed case or not but its likely to skew the numbers up a bit.
Also the transmission rate is only higher than delta in households. Non household transmission seems similar so far. Maybe safer down the pub?

Of course the case numbers are at record highs as every man and his dog has been scared out of their mind since Sunday night and thus the number of tests taken in the last 48 hours is at a record high number!

The more tests that are done the more positive cases you will get!

Numbers i reckon may well go down test wise in the next few days as its all but impossible to get home testing kits and even some testing centres have now run out of testing kits for the first time in nearly 2 years as so many people have rushed in to be tested the last 48 hours!

The problem is you cannot make people take tests to go to events when you cannot get a test done or a kit as the powers that be are so incompetent that they have run out of testing kits!!

If they really think tests are the answer then given you can still have and pass the virus on even if jabbed then everyone vaccinated or not vacccinated should have to take a test before going to large events!

Of course they will not make people do that as its all about the ££s Signs if people get the jab!

Local vaccine centre increased the rate to day over 2000 injected
now open 8 am till 9 pm
50% now boostered in the area
people booking today can get slots in a day or 2
they have now done more than 250000 doses in the year since starting last December
at current pace the country will hit the million per day needed provided people come forward

high vaccination rates will prevent a full lockdown

Kits available here in local pharmacies and by booking online

if every one goes online at the same time booking will be harder just as getting Glastonbury tickets is when they are made available you just have to try a bit harder

Does not matter when you go online you cannot get any test kits at this time!

Two days ago the Gov were blaming Royal mail for there being no kits, yesterday they said they were going to use Amazon instead, today they have now said they are going to use the Royal mail again......... Yet the problem clearly is that they have currently run out of testing kits but will not admit it !
