Neither were they last yearNot primarily because of covid tho
Because I have no idea. I saw it on the news and thought it was relevant to the thread. Why not post what they are really in hospital for why focus on covid when it’s not the reason they are in there
No one ever said that weren't any, most in the second half of 2021 were not from covid.Between March 2020 and December 2021 there were 133,000 excess deaths.
Lets put that nonsense to bed about no excess deaths once and for all.
Keep on with it , won't youNo one ever said that weren't any, most in the second half of 2021 were not from covid.
Excess deaths happen very often they are not a measure of extra deaths
Failure to understand what excess deaths means is a key driver of covid overreaction
Well there's no way I can even attempt to reply to that!No one ever said that weren't any, most in the second half of 2021 were not from covid.

There were that many MORE deaths than expected during that period. Over an above those normally expected considering the demographics and after careful statistical analysis. The calculations for expected deaths are usually pretty accurate and certainly not out by the best part of 150,000.No one ever said that weren't any, most in the second half of 2021 were not from covid.

So January 22 with negative excess deaths and thousands dying with covid, they are not counted in a covid total? There were that many MORE deaths than expected during that period. Over an above those normally expected considering the demographics and after careful statistical analysis. The calculations for expected deaths are usually pretty accurate and certainly not out by the best part of 150,000.
Why ask me? Are there really ‘thousands’ dying with Covid per month currently? I have seen no such figures but I haven’t looked recently. So January 22 with negative excess deaths and thousands dying with covid, they are not counted in a covid total?
100 a dayWhy ask me? Are there really ‘thousands’ dying with Covid per month currently? I have seen no such figures but I haven’t looked recently.
Oh dear , that old tune again!?Keep on with it , won't you
It's about time this thread was deleted
You think covid deaths are measured by aggregating excess deaths? Why ask me? Are there really ‘thousands’ dying with Covid per month currently? I have seen no such figures but I haven’t looked recently.
Professor Carl Heneghan when commenting on excess deaths (I cant remember over which exact time points ) indicated that over 60 000 of the excess deaths were not covid but a huge amount of extra deaths at home and these had to be looked at in case we are in this situation againBetween March 2020 and December 2021 there were 133,000 excess deaths.

Excess deaths are a measure of deaths above average, look at actual monthly death totals and combine with aging population as rendered by age standardized mortality and I defy you to come up with anything unusual. There were that many MORE deaths than expected during that period. What you will see is no significant difference between 2018 and 2021 apart from hysteriaExcess deaths are a measure of deaths above average, look at actual monthly death totals and combine with aging population as rendered by age standardized mortality and I defy you to come up with anything unusual.
