Cow swallowed truck key

Sorry for laughing, but that really did make my day; it should pass through, is it a bare key or does it have a fob attached?
A bare key might just hide in the bottom of the reticulum and "sit there", but I think if it has a fob or keyring then that would help it through. Hope so!

Just watch her closely as a key could be enough to cause what's called "hardware disease", as it's very close to the heart and vital bits foreign bodies aren't good for cows. At least it isn't super pointy/sharp.

Like this with just a small ring, couldn’t believe it really but she’s definitely got something metal in her middle and no before anyone asks it’s not her ear tag pinging

She might not! I've fed raw beef tripe to dogs for decades and you'ld be surprised what stays in there. One example is big lump of metal that I think have something to do with minerals. They aren't meant to come out but stay there!

Bloody dogs will chew anything, loosed mine out one morning and I could see one was agitated, not acting normally sitting down a lot.
Then I saw it, looked like he was passing some sort of tapeworm but with tentacles.
The silly bugger had swallowed one of my milking gloves.

I had one swallow a cattle ear tag. That needed surgery and removal of 3 inches of his intestine. A few hours before the op, he had run down the field and pointed a pair of partridges. The day after the op, he was obviously anxious to get out of the kennel, so I let him out with the others. Working dogs are tough. But I wouldn't say as much for the average pet.

Brothers golden lab bolted the remains of the turkey without waiting to be offered it several years ago (stole it) and a day or so later brother spotted him straining to go to the toilet and behold in his poo popped out a meat screwed.
