Good news is everyone is still alive and seemingly fine, but news is I'm only now getting the idiots in for milking 😂 spent all day doing repairs and of course the landlord came around today to do an inspection (all prebooked just typical the cows had to choose today to be a bunch of knobs 😂 ) anyway I'm smiling for now, got to pay bills ASAP so I expect that will wipe any smile off my face rapidly....

Big Bertha just chilling acting all inoccent after hoovering up 630 quids worth of cake.

It could be worse @Jdunn55 the previous tenant had a torrid time with some urea. 😔
Head up get some proper heavy duties gates and posts made up no bloody chains
Yes I can only imagine what the next morning would have been like, trouble is heavy duty gates cost an absolute fortune at the moment 🙄

Milk was up tonight 👍
sh!t was loose tonight 👎

Going to have to give in and see if I can find some spare change in the cash flow forecasts for some part time help I think

If you only had the dairy farm to look after you would have loads of time spare……

So in the latest antics of why I've had a f**king enough, a portion of the milkers (25ish) escaped last night and have broken through my gates (and of course bent them in the process) ans then helped themselves to a tonne of dry cow rolls, 1-2 t of calf cake and half a tonne of grass seed
Do I need to worry about anything? They seem OK this morning, just look out for acidosis, or is there something more to worry about?

Look at it in these positive ways, your not organic if you were it could have been £500/t cake.....or on the other positive side, its so expensive you wouldn't have bought any at all

I wouldn't, since my relief and I parted ways I told dad I haven't got time to come over every day, I go over once a week to go through the sheep for lameness and thats it, the farm and land is now in a massive state again that I'm going to have to sort out at some point
