Cr9080 rotor speed

Anyone else had this problem where we have set the rotor speed for rape but as you work your way down the field the speed increases back up to 1200rpm?

have you changed the rotor gearbox to low setting? handle above drive pulley by fuel tank yank down has three settings high up neutral middle and low down sometimes you need to wiggle pulley to get it to change from neutral to desired speed setting.

The rotor speed is increased hydraulically so if its raising on its on could be a few things

1,The ACS setting is set wrong and hasn't be reset,so the machine thinks 1200rpm is where it wants to be

2,The speed isn't reading correctly in the cab (faulty sensor),if its reading lower than the actual speed the machine will try and compensate so you'll end up with it going fast than you want, should be easy to check is the rpm in the cab consistent when running (no big deviation in figures)

3,There is a hydraulic/electrical fault,if you can find the increase solenoid on the main valve block try setting your speed where you want it then unplugging it (probably give an error but you can ignore it temporarily) if the speed increases still then something is leaking and allowing oil through to the rotor variator,if it stops moving then something is activating the valve causing the speed to increase

4,on the control valve there is small nut on the end for manually controlling the valve....might be loose, can't remember if it should be all the way in or all the way out, sorry

Thanks guys. Sorted the problem by running it in the lower gearbox setting, like we did last year. We did have it sorted last year I thought after the harvest by the dealership but there we go. I somehow think that what anythinggood has said about the acs might have an effect.

Currently there is only the winter wheat setting on the acs list and nothing else. I don't know if there is anything I can do to get the other settings back as I cannot find them in the system anywhere.

Thanks again guys.

Press home key then select data management then select filter (2nd option from top on right) then select filter crop list it should bring up a list of crops highlight and select the crops you want to show on acs it will add a "x" next to name to show they are selected. Try this and post what you find.

Thanks gorgous, that has sorted that problem out. Didn't realise that it was a filter for the acs also thought it was just a filter to look back over previous data.

Once again thanks to everyone for the information.
