Any Jersey breeders ever try crossing with a norwegian red? If so what kind of cow did you end up with and what system are you running, ( seasonal calving/all year calving, housed/grazed?)

Yes but using Danish Red ….. we have both Jer x DR and DR x Jer

Reds on Jersey produces a dark animal similar in size to jerseys
other way is much lighter in colour and roughly Friesian in size

Yes crossed a jersey cow by iatola to gopollen nr the heifer calf resembeled a shorthorn peaked at 35 ltrs as a heifer at grass in spring calving held twice to first service gave 550kg milk solids as heifer.
