Crows around Buildings

What’s the best way to deal with crows coming into farm buildings where cattle are being fed. Always have a serious problem at this time of year and just noticed this morning they are starting again. Have tried nets but not easy to do whole building and still have access. Have various folk who come for a days shooting at them with one guy getting over 200 in one day last year so gives an idea of numbers involved. Just seems to scare them for a few hours then they’re back, think they’re mostly young birds at this time of year.

Leave dead crows out, on their backs with wings out stretched?
Father used to say to rip dead ones into pieces and let them lie about. He also said in his father's day, they would catch a live one by a leg in a gin trap and let it squack all day long. That was seemingly the most effective deterrent of the lot but you would get jailed for that nowadays!

Yep I think a trapped live one is the best deterrent. There's never more than a ton of bagged sheep feed in our shed at any one time but, hoodies and jackdaws were coming in this winter and pecking holes in the bags, I covered the bags over but they were still finding ways in, so set a cage trap one day and caught a jackdaw, let him go again as It was a hoodie I wanted and I quite like jackdaws, but him being stuck there flapping about distressed in the trap for a bit must have put the rest of them right off, so just left the trap sitting on top of the feed and problem was solved. I guess it would need repeated every so often to refresh their memories.

I find the bird sh!t on every surface much worse than the bit of lost feed.
