Having just learned this I thought that I would share.

If you are sending proof of capital claims it is not acceptable to just include photographs on an email.

You must put the photos in a word document or as pdf files or an excel file otherwise your claim for some of the money that you have already spent will be delayed.

Thank goodness I am not desperate for the money (irony emoji needed here)

Also discovered this last time around.

Apparently photo's attached to an email are considered a security risk to RPA / NE and their servers remove such attachments from the email.

Not hard to create an "album" in word with any necessary comments along side each pic though.

This must be new as I have sent them as attachments in the past. Then my client got a revenue admin check and we had to send photos of EVERY hedge under the BE3 management option which was about 30 photos. Sent on 6 separate emails but despite receiving automatic receipts for all of them. apparently only 3 got through. Had to re-send twice and in future will put into a doc (someone suggested powerpoint and compress all pictures).

I am pretty sure that I sent them as attachments before with labels beside them and got told to make sure that the captions - field numbers etc were actually on the photos not beside them.

I use an app on my Android phone called Survey Cam to append details onto the pic.

Can include Business details, Date, Grid Ref, Scheme type number, Field number, Any other description required. Dump the file to the required format and completely swamp them...

A further note from them today;

Despite me putting the photos in a word file, writing on the pictures with field numbers etc and writing my holding number, sbi number, agreement number and claim number on the document together with the title 'new hedges planted winter 21-22' It has been rejected again because I forgot to write the option number on the photos too. Grrr.

@Janet Hughes Defra

This is why people don't want to touch Defra with a barge pole.

Yes I think there is a certain format to how each photo is supposed to be labeled too is there not?

I use edit and paint in the photos editor to write field numbers and the type of claim (Bn5) on each photo, was good enough this year, there must be a way of putting a word doc label on each photo but my tech skills are not good enough

A man has pleaded guilty at Newtownards Magistrates’ Court to waste offences relating to a bonfire next to the electrical sub-station on the Circular Road in Newtownards, Co. Down.

Gareth Gill (51) of Abbot’s Walk, Newtownards pleaded guilty to two charges under the Waste and Contaminated Land (Northern Ireland) Order 1997, for which he was fined £150 each and ordered to pay a £15 offender’s levy

On June 25, 2018, PSNI officers went to Gill’s yard, where they found a large amount of waste consisting of scrap wood, pallets, carpet and underlay.

Discussion with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) officers confirmed the site...
