CSX combine settings

Hello, is there any one familiar with the New Holland CSX settings for harvesting barley?
We seem to be losing grain in the straw and over the sieves.
There is nothing to prevent loses over top sieves, if it passes over them, the grain or head is gone out the back, other combines send them to the returns.
Thanks very much.

Sounds like your top serve is closed up far too much.

Try doing a kill stall and see what the top sieve looks like.

The front third should be clear of all material and the rear third should not have any grain left on it.

If the front third is not clear, increase the fan speed.
If the front half is clear, reduce it.

If the rear third has grain on it, open it up more.

The CSX is pretty much the same as my CX 6080.
In spring Barley, my settings are
Drum speed flat out
Concave 10mm
Pre sieve three quarters fully open
Top Sieve 16mm
Bottom sieve 8 mm
fan speed 850 rpm.

Is the CX top sieve different?
