I've had a set of twins after using a genus easy calver AI straw of two different breeds.

Hereford and a BB iirc
Ive just started registering births using the online job,and did a set of twin heifers today. For the second one it said,"accept a warning" What the hell is all that about?

It's warning you that you are attributing 2 calves to 1 cow.
It's to help stop you making a simple mistake.
Ploughing on regardless of the warning gives one a marvellous sensation of rebelliousness.

Yes it's quite educated, the breed of bull you put with the cows been the one you put on the passport
I know it's conventional and wouldn't do it any other way, but does anyone put the dams breed as the cross rather than the sires? Was thinking about it last night as our software program (@Farm Matters Ltd) pre-fills the breed for a new calf with the dam's breed, and I'm tempted to make a suggestion that it asks for sire first then uses his breed (with an added X if appropriate) to pre-fill the breed field but don't want to mess it up for others.
