Cubicle Design

Been looking at putting some cubicles in new dairy unit looked at a few designs and prices. Wondered what people's experiences and preferences are. I've slatted tanks so sand is probably a non starter for bedding was think of mattress and small amount of sawdust. Any help or guidance would be appreciated

I put in these plastic ones by easyfix and the cows love them. Notice the cow on right lying stretched out on her side sleeping. I have never seen any of my cows doing this in any of the various steel cubicles we have in the rest of the building. I will be putting in more of them when budget allows. They are lying on teemore optima matress which seems ok but there are softer alternatives around but at a much higher price.

I'm in the same position on a beef to dairy conversion, and am going with Easyfix as above. I know a few farms with them and not one has a single bad thing to say about them. Same price as IAE super comfort cubicles.

On head to head cubicles I would avoid having the lower horizontal rail down the centre that the individual loops hang of on the IAE type super comforts. I fiound it got in the way of cows lunging forward when they stand up. I cut mine out and replaced with little legs bolted to the floor.
Also got rid of wooden brisket board and replaced it with a 4'' plastic pipe which is much kinder to the cows.

Any chance of some photos of what you have done with horizontal bar please
