What is the expected dead weight % for cullled cows . We have sent some barrens and weighed them beforehand so we knew liveweights, they killed out at between 33% ( lame, poor 386kg jersey and 46% ( soild well fleshed mature 682kg fresian )

@cull cows ?

I'd also think that's in the ballpark, they may have cut a fair bit from the lame one, though?
Some of the proper "finished" cows we used to see were spectacularly heavy, they often lost 30+kg going from farmer "emptied out" to lairage "emptied out" though!

We grow dairy bulls and there can be a fair ko% range in them, too.

It will also depend on trim spec as some slaughterhouses differ. Some smaller slaughterhouses, but not many may weigh the carcasses with the kidneys still in and all these small bits add up.
